Wide, Crush resistant, deep pile Ph.D. black or blue velvet
front panels which extend over the shoulders and behind the
neck and drapes down the front of the gown
- Chevrons also
made from same deep pile Ph.D black or blue velvet
- Gown is fully
tailored with gathered sleeves and finished with a cord
and button below the back yoke.
Please note: These gowns are normally kept in-stock in both
Ph.D blue velvet (as shown) or in black velvet.

Your choice of black velvet or Ph.D. blue velvet is standard
on these gowns. If you would prefer a different color velvet
(such as J.D. Purple; MD Hunter, Ed.D. Light blue, etc.),
we can make it special for you for an additional $30.00 per
gown. If you would like the gown fabric in a color other than
black, the additional charge would be $75.00.
Gold piping is also available on our deluxe doctoral gowns and our deluxe PhD gowns.
We generally have the deluxe doctoral gowns in stock in either black velvet, black velvet with gold piping, PhD blue velvet, or Phd blue velvet with gold piping.
For all other colors, please allow approximately 8 weeks for delivery of special made
gowns, but need it sooner than 8 weeks, we may be able to
send you a generic faculty loaner doctoral gown which you
could return upon receipt of your custom gown.

The Classic Doctoral Gown
A superior quality, fully tailored gown, priced

- Classic styling similar to rental gowns,
but of superior quality
- Two wide front pleats, two smaller side
pleats, and fluted across the back and shoulders.
- Fluting provides fullness to the body of
the robe and the sleeves
- Made of Pilgrim Cloth (same fabric as our
Deluxe Gown) — light weight and practically wrinkle free
- Deluxe velvet
in place of rental quality velvet
- Comes with traditional mortarboard and
tassel

The VIP Economy Souvenir Doctoral Gown
Our
VIP Souvenir gowns are traditionally styled with velvet front
velvet panels starting at the yoke of the gown, and finishing
at the hem. They also feature full sleeves with three velvet
stripes (chevrons) on each arm.
Gowns
in black with black velvet are usually available for immediate
shipment.
Additionally, we offer quantity discounts
on these gowns.
The price will depend upon the quantity of caps and gowns
(sets) being purchased.
Each set comes individually wrapped with
a cap, gown, and tassel.
Hoods
are not included with the set. Order

When combined with our detailed tailoring
and workmanship, the result is superior regalia as personal
to you as the honor it represents.
Includes personal initials sewn onto garment,
and sent with a convenient vinyl garment bag
Mortarboard and hood are made from same material
as gown
Your exact sizing, including height,
weight, chest, waist, neck size, shirt sleeve length, and
floor clearance desired.
Three generations of experience and an absolute confidence
in our product allows us to make an offer which is completely
worry free for you. Any custom made to measure gown that
does not confirm exactly to your order with regard to style,
fabric, color or measurements, may upon receipt of proper
authorization be returned and an appropriate adjustment will
be made immediately.
